What is a Flogger?

Traditionally a flogger consists of a simple handle with multiple strands of leather, horse hair or other such fibre attached to the handle, which is primarily used to flog an animal or person.

Today within BDSM these floggers can be made out of practically anything, ranging from traditional leather to cable ties, rubber, horsehair...and for you geeks out there sometimes even cat5 cable!

Sheepskin Floggers

Sheepskin floggers are deliciously sensual and are great for warm up or warm down. Other uses of sheepskin leather are coats, boots and mittens because of how soft yet strong and durable it is.

Teasers

This is a rather unique category to Highlander Floggers that consists of floggers with falls that are less than 200mm in length. Perfect for very intimate play and very delicate areas!

Floggers that Sting

These floggers will provide a "sting" sensation to the receiver. Most often the falls of these floggers will be thin both in width and thickness to create the desired sensation.

Floggers that Thud

Here is where to look if you want a flogger to provide a "thuddy" impact. Sometimes also called a "thumper" these floggers have thicker and wider falls compared to their stingy counterparts.

Extra Long Floggers

While the length of falls a person will prefer is varied, the typical flogger will have falls of 500mm or less. Here is where you will find floggers with 500+ mm falls. These sometimes take some extra practice to wield successfully and are generally not for beginners.

Florentine Sets

A Florentine set of floggers consists of two matched floggers, usually both in design and creation. Named after the style of two-handed flogging, these should be used simultaneously for maximum pleasure and pain.
